R+L Carriers is currently seeking CDL A Team Truck Drivers to join their West Sacramento, CA Service Center. The role of the Team Driver is crucial, involving the operation of van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers, transporting freight between the company’s service centers or turn-point locations. The position offers a balanced schedule with drivers spending five days on the road followed by two days at home each week, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Starting at $120,000 yearly for each driver, this opportunity also includes paid time off available after the first 90 calendar days of employment and an impressive benefits package. The CDL A Team Truck Driver role requires that candidates meet safety and skill standards, including the ability to operate equipment safely at all times and successfully pass pre-employment DOT physicals, drug screenings, and road tests. The job demands dependability, physical capability to bend, lift, and stoop, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of verifiable combined Class A driving experience within the last three years and a clean driving record with no commercial serious violations.

Job Requirements

  • cDL Class A
  • 1 yr combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
  • good driving record with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years
  • age 23 or 21 if meeting FMCSA specs for military to civilian CDL transition
  • must be able to operate equipment safely
  • must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen
  • must complete successful road test
  • must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
  • must be dependable

Job Qualifications

  • valid CDL Class A license
  • minimum 1 year combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
  • good driving record with no commercial serious violations
  • ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
  • successful completion of a road test
  • dependable and safety-conscious
  • physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty
  • preferred endorsements include doubles/triples, tanker, Haz-mat

Job Duties

  • operate van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and turn-point locations
