Job Description
The hiring company is a reputable transportation and logistics provider specializing in dry bulk freight within the Southwest regional lanes. Based in Tallahassee, FL, this company prides itself on offering steady and reliable freight options with a focus on safety and punctuality. As a well-established player in the regional tanker driving industry, the company operates with modern equipment, including late-model automatic trucks, to ensure comfort and efficiency for its drivers. They are dedicated to maintaining high safety standards and fostering a work environment that supports stable, long-term employment relationships.
This full-time employment opportunity is designed for professional CDL A Tanker Drivers who are focused on localized routes, offering the convenience of being home daily and requiring availability every other Saturday with extra pay for those days. The position specifically supports pneumatic tanker work, where the driver is responsible for both loading and unloading duties, which adds a hands-on element to the role beyond conventional driving tasks. Ideal candidates must live within 30 minutes of the terminal to meet the daily schedule requirements effectively. This role offers a highly competitive pay scale, averaging between $1,200 and $1,500 in weekly gross pay, with an initial range starting around $1,100 per week. The company also incentivizes reliability by requiring stable work history and a clean driving record. Terminal parking is mandatory for all assigned equipment, and drivers will be supported with the latest vehicles, ensuring that conditions are safe, modern, and conducive to best performance.
Working as a CDL A Tanker Driver in this position means joining a team that values professionalism and integrity while providing the resources required to succeed in a demanding yet rewarding field. The company supports its employees with comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield, 401(k) retirement plans with employer matching, paid holidays, paid vacation, and ongoing training and orientation programs. This ensures that employees not only earn competitive wages but also have access to substantial support systems that promote health, financial security, and career development.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced tanker drivers who are looking to leverage their skill set in a company that rewards reliability and safety, and who appreciate having a predictable home schedule with additional premium pay on Saturdays. The role not only demands proven expertise behind the wheel but a proactive approach to handling pneumatic tankers safely and efficiently. Drivers who possess the required certifications and are motivated by a steady workload and supportive company culture will find this position attractive and rewarding.
