Job Description

Barr-Nunn Transportation is a well-established dry van truckload carrier founded in 1982. Operating a fleet of approximately 600 tractors and 2,150 trailers, the company specializes in providing outstanding on-time pickup and delivery services primarily to major e-commerce customers and other businesses that require timely shipments. With a strong emphasis on safety and service excellence, Barr-Nunn has earned a reputation for maintaining an exceptional safety record coupled with award-winning on-time service. This solid combination enables the company to meet the demanding needs of high-profile shippers efficiently and effectively, contributing to its stability and profitability within the competitive transportation industry. Barr-Nunn’s longstanding presence since 1982 highlights its commitment to being a reliable partner both for its customers and for its employees, promising continuity and consistency in an industry where many players often come and go. When drivers choose to work with Barr-Nunn Transportation, they join a team focused on long-term success, safety, and satisfaction, ensuring a dependable and rewarding career path.

Now hiring Regional CDL-A Truck Drivers, Barr-Nunn offers a unique opportunity to join a leading transportation company with competitive pay and excellent benefits. This role is structured for solo company drivers to manage regional routes hauling full dry van truckloads with 100% no-touch freight, meaning drivers focus solely on driving without manual load handling, enhancing safety and convenience. Drivers can expect to be home on weekends, with no routes requiring entry into New York City, Canada, or Mexico, ensuring a work-life balance that respects personal time. The position offers a top pay range of $85,000 to $105,000 annually, with a transition bonus available on the first paycheck ($1,700 or $1,875) to welcome new drivers, plus additional orientation pay and paid time off. Drivers with a HAZMAT endorsement also receive a separate hiring bonus package with incremental incentives after 30 days of employment. Barr-Nunn supports its drivers further with benefits such as a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, BCBS health insurance, and free $10,000 life insurance, along with a lucrative referral program that can bring additional earnings. The trucking equipment is state-of-the-art, including late-model tractors equipped with amenities such as TVs, microwaves, refrigerators, inverters, and safety features like tracking and cargo sensors. Drivers benefit from a supportive dispatch team that prioritizes respect and responsiveness. The company also incentivizes safe driving through various safety bonuses and pay raises, rewarding drivers for their commitment to maintaining a clean safety record. Barr-Nunn Transportation fosters a professional yet friendly working environment, making this regional trucking role ideal for CDL-A drivers with at least nine months of recent experience seeking stable employment with a top-tier carrier.
