Reasonable accommodations are provided for employees and applicants who require them, ensuring accessibility for all individuals.
The role of Class A Truck Driver at MSI is designed for entry-level drivers willing to engage in local and occasionally extended routes to deliver countertop and flooring materials safely and efficiently. The position operates on a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, typically allowing drivers to be home on weekends. Compensation ranges from $26 to $32 per hour with overtime paid at 1.5 times the base rate, translating to an annual earning potential between $74,300 and $91,300 or more depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses. This position requires the driver to perform multiple daily stops on local routes and be prepared for 2-day runs roughly 70% of the time. Drivers are responsible not only for safe and timely deliveries but also for assisting in cargo loading, unloading, and securement using blocks, ties, straps, chains, and binders. They must maintain constant alertness, practice safe vehicle operation, and display patience and professionalism with all road users. Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptability to changing conditions, and a customer-centric approach are critical to success. Working independently with a focus on quality service and the ability to utilize technology such as tablets or iPads also form part of the job expectations. This role entails adherence to all Department of Transportation regulations and maintaining precise logbooks. In addition to driving responsibilities, physical demands include lifting up to 55 pounds, carrying loads across the truck bed, ascending and descending ladders, and the capability to work at varying heights while handling securing equipment. As a safety-sensitive position, MSI prioritizes candidates who are safety-minded and reliable, upholding company and regulatory standards at all times.
