Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Must submit to pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Capability to handle freight weighing an average of 40 to 60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds
- Flexibility to work overtime, occasional weekends, and holidays
- Physical endurance for touch freight handling
- 1 year of customer delivery experience preferred
- 6 months of hand cart or hand truck experience preferred
- 6 months of food and beverage experience preferred
- 2 years of consistent work history preferred
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Experience in local CDL-A delivery driving preferred
- Customer delivery experience preferred
- Hand cart or hand truck operation experience preferred
- Food and beverage delivery experience preferred
- Consistent work history preferred
- Ability to lift, push, or move freight weighing 40 to 60 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
Job Duties
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer on assigned local routes
- Manually load and unload various products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies
- Deliver products to customer locations in a timely and professional manner
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by understanding and meeting their needs
- Comply with safety regulations, company policies, and DOT requirements
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and complete reports as required
- Participate in ongoing driver training and development programs
