Sysco is currently seeking local CDL-A Delivery Drivers for their Columbus, OH location. This role offers drivers the unique benefit of being home daily, along with competitive pay that can reach up to $100,000 per year including base salary, overtime, and incentives. Additionally, new hires may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000. In this position, CDL-A Delivery Drivers will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailer vehicles to deliver a wide variety of products such as meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies to local customer sites. Drivers establish strong, positive relationships with customers, understanding their operational needs and helping to exceed expectations through friendly and professional service. The role involves manual unloading and handling of freight with weights that may range from 40 to 60 pounds, occasionally reaching up to 100 pounds, highlighting the physical aspect of the job.

Job Requirements

  • 21 plus years of age
  • submit to a pre-employment drug screen
  • valid Class A Commercial Driver License with clean driving record
  • ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • touch freight experience preferred
  • flexibility to work overtime, occasional weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
  • have a clean driving record
  • 1 year of customer delivery experience preferred
  • 6 months of hand cart or hand truck experience preferred
  • 6 months of food and beverage experience preferred
  • 2 years of consistent work history
  • ability to read, write, and communicate in English
