Job Description

JBS Carriers is a leading multi-state and regional truckload carrier specializing in transporting both refrigerated and non-refrigerated freight. The company handles a diverse array of cargo including live haul, which involves the transportation of cattle, hogs, and poultry, as well as tankers, container chassis, and grain hoppers. With a strong commitment to reliability and service excellence, JBS Carriers is recognized as a dependable freight carrier in the logistics and transportation industry. Their comprehensive service offerings are designed to meet the evolving needs of clients across various sectors, supporting the supply chains that keep food and other essential goods moving efficiently across multiple states.

JBS Carriers is currently seeking CDL A Drivers for local and short-haul runs, specifically offering a unique live cattle haul opportunity. This role is tailor-made for professional truck drivers looking for well-paying opportunities with the benefit of daily home time. The company emphasizes a work-life balance that supports the lifestyle of its drivers. Drivers can expect competitive pay ranging from $75,000 to $92,000 per year, further enhanced by benefits such as retention bonuses, paid wait time during loading and unloading, and orientation pay. The pay structure is attractive, with drivers earning by the load and averaging about $1,500 weekly.

The position suits drivers who appreciate a consistent schedule, as JBS Carriers operates primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays and early morning starts. Drivers will be responsible not only for transporting freight but also for coordinating load details with plants, dispatch, and feedlots. Ensuring the safe and humane handling of livestock is a critical part of the job, reflecting the company’s high standards for animal welfare during transit.

JBS Carriers offers extensive benefits to support their drivers, including health benefits covering vision, medical, and dental insurance with eligibility starting after 60 days of employment. Paid sick leave and six company-observed holidays provide additional security, while a 401(k) plan with company matching helps drivers plan for their future. Rider policies are available after three months of service, though pets are not permitted. The company streamlines the hiring process with simplified orientation starting online and concluding at local terminals, making it easier for drivers to join the team and get on the road quickly. Monthly safety bonuses and lucrative driver referral bonuses further reward drivers for their commitment and performance.

This position is ideal for CDL A drivers aged 21 or older with at least one year of tractor-trailer experience, specifically with 48’ to 53’ trailers. Mentor and training programs are offered to those who have less than one year of experience, emphasizing JBS Carriers' dedication to supporting new drivers as they grow their careers. Whether you are an experienced driver or new to the industry, this opportunity provides a stable, rewarding career with a company that values its drivers and their contributions to the team.
