Job Description

Barr-Nunn Transportation is a reputable dry van truckload carrier that has been in operation since 1982. With a fleet consisting of approximately 600 tractors and 2,150 trailers, Barr-Nunn provides outstanding on-time pickup and delivery services predominantly to major e-commerce customers and several other companies that demand reliable and punctual transportation. The company is known for its exceptional safety record and award-winning on-time service, which has helped it maintain a stable and profitable operation in the competitive trucking industry. Barr-Nunn’s dedication to excellence has fostered long-lasting relationships with its clients and earned it a reputation as a trusted and dependable carrier. In a market where many trucking companies struggle to sustain their operations, Barr-Nunn stands firm as a long-term partner dedicated to fulfilling both the drivers' and customers' needs. Barr-Nunn offers a supportive work environment, emphasizing safety, professionalism, and employee satisfaction, which makes it a preferred choice for commercial truck drivers looking for a dependable employer with strong values and daily operational excellence.

Barr-Nunn Transportation is currently seeking experienced Over-The-Road (OTR) CDL-A truck drivers to join their growing team. This role is designed for solo company drivers who value full dry van truckload freight with 100% no-touch freight, meaning the drivers do not have to physically load or unload their cargo. The routes offer attractive home time schedules, with drivers being home every 11 days for 3 days or every 18 days for 5 days, depending on location. Salary for this position ranges between $90,000 and $112,000 per year, with pay per mile ranging from 65 to 71 cents. Barr-Nunn offers a lucrative transition bonus on the first check for experienced drivers, including a $1,700 or $1,875 first check transition bonus, plus additional bonuses for drivers with or without a HAZMAT endorsement. Beyond competitive pay, drivers benefit from an excellent 401(k) retirement plan with company match, BCBS health insurance, and free $10,000 life insurance coverage. The company also boasts a rewarding referral program, substantial safety-based bonuses, and modern, well-equipped late-model tractors featuring amenities such as TV, microwave, refrigerator, inverter, and tracking technologies. Drivers appreciate the friendly and responsive dispatch team and the positive, respectful work environment. Barr-Nunn ensures safety and rewards compliance with regular CSA safety bonuses and pay raises based on safe miles driven. The opportunity to work for a certified top-pay carrier and receive various bonuses for shorter runs and safety makes this position highly attractive for qualified CDL-A drivers who are committed to professionalism and quality service delivery. Barr-Nunn invites interested drivers to apply and join a company focused on long-term success and driver satisfaction, providing stability in an often fluctuating industry.
