Job Description
Koch Trucking, a part of the larger Koch Companies, is a prominent leader in the transportation sector. The company specializes in multiple facets of transportation services including truckload freight hauling, logistics, warehousing, and truck/trailer leasing. With a comprehensive infrastructure and a commitment to excellence, Koch Trucking has established itself as a trusted provider within the trucking industry. Recognized for its workplace culture and forward-thinking policies, Koch Trucking was named a 2025 Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation by the Women in Trucking Association and acknowledged as a Top 200 Workplace by the Minneapolis Star Tribune. These accolades underscore the company’s dedication not only to operational excellence but also to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for its employees.
Koch Trucking is currently hiring CDL-A Truck Drivers to join their Over-The-Road (OTR) division. This division is renowned for its highly optimized customer network, which ensures drivers get consistent miles, thereby maximizing earning potential. With an average annual salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 and the opportunity for top performers to earn up to $85,000, this role offers competitive compensation. Additionally, new hires benefit from a $6,000 hiring bonus. Drivers enjoy weekly home time, starting pay between $0.63 and $0.70 per mile, and drop and stop pay that averages an additional $10,000 per year. The position primarily involves no-touch freight, meaning drivers are relieved from loading and unloading responsibilities, allowing them to focus on driving and safety.
The equipment used by Koch Trucking drivers is modern and driver-focused. The fleet averages just 16 months in age, with all trucks being three years old or newer. Drivers will operate Volvo 860 and Freightliner Cascadia models equipped with features designed for comfort and convenience, such as refrigerators, leather interiors, double curtain wraps, double bunks, and built-in inverters. This ensures driver comfort on long haul trips.
Additional company perks include paid weekly wages, immediate PTO accrual from the first day of employment along with three floating holidays per year, and comprehensive benefits covering health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Drivers also receive a free iPad with a data package to stay connected with family and friends on the road. Orientation is conducted in luxury hotels located in Roseville, Minnesota, and Appling, Georgia, with all expenses paid. Koch Trucking supports a pet and rider policy and provides a 401(k) plan with company matching. Roadside assistance is available 24/7/365 to ensure drivers receive help whenever needed. The company also offers a $3,000 referral bonus, use of the Rolling Strong driver app, and access to free driver lounges stocked with essentials like soap, shampoo, towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, laundry soap, pizza, and sandwiches.
This position requires candidates to hold a valid Class A CDL license and have at least one year of experience hauling flatbed, step deck, or Conestoga trailers. With its commitment to driver comfort, competitive pay, extensive benefits, and state-of-the-art equipment, Koch Trucking presents a compelling opportunity for CDL-A truck drivers seeking a rewarding and sustainable career in the trucking industry.
Join Koch Trucking today and become part of a company where safety, respect, and profitability drive everything they do. Discover a career path that offers both stability and growth, all while enjoying weekly home time, excellent pay, and a culture that recognizes and rewards your hard work.
