Job Description
Koch Trucking is a reputable, family-owned specialized trucking company established in 1978, with a strong focus on driver satisfaction and safety. Over the decades, the company has grown to become a full-service leader in transportation and distribution, offering a range of dedicated, regional, flatbed, marine, and specialized transportation services. Koch Trucking prides itself on maintaining a culture centered around respect, excellence, innovation, and safety which has fostered a thriving work environment for employees and reliable service delivery for customers. As one of five divisions under Koch Companies, Koch Trucking benefits from the comprehensive transportation, logistics, warehousing, and leasing services available across the parent company, enhancing its operational strength and variety in freight management.
For professional drivers, Koch Trucking provides a highly competitive and rewarding employment opportunity. As a CDL-A Specialized Company Driver, you will have the chance to earn an average annual salary of $85,000 with top performers making over $95,000 per year. The position also offers a $6,000 hiring bonus as well as numerous additional perks that make working at Koch Trucking attractive. Drivers receive starting pay between 57 to 59 cents per mile, depending on experience, with additional compensation for deliveries into Canada for those holding passports. The role requires drivers to be on the road for 10 to 14 days per run depending on location, averaging between 2,200 and 2,400 miles per week.
The equipment provided to drivers includes a modern fleet of trucks that average just 16 months old, featuring models such as the Volvo 860 and Freightliner Cascadia. These trucks come outfitted with driver-friendly amenities like refrigerators, leather interiors, double curtain wraps, double bunks, and built-in inverters, ensuring comfort and convenience for long hauls. Drivers also enjoy financial incentives such as drop pay, stop pay, and a referral bonus of $3,000.
Beyond competitive pay and excellent equipment, Koch Trucking invests in its workforce with benefits designed to support health and life balance. Paid orientations are held at luxury hotels, and drivers start accruing paid time off immediately, including three floating holidays annually. Comprehensive insurance options like health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance are available. The company additionally provides a free iPad with a data package to help drivers stay connected, pet and rider policies, a 401(k) plan with company match, 24/7/365 roadside assistance, and exclusive access to driver lounges stocked with essentials and treats. Paid weekly schedules, rolling strong driver apps, and an overall commitment to driver well-being make Koch Trucking a distinguished and dependable choice for specialized CDL-A drivers.
