Job Description
Koch Trucking is a family-owned and driver-focused transportation company that has been operating since 1978. With a commitment to respect, excellence, safety, and innovation, Koch Trucking has established itself as a full-service transportation and distribution leader. The company prides itself on maintaining a healthy business environment that fosters growth for both its employees and customers. Their diverse range of services includes Dedicated, Regional, Flatbed, Marine, and Specialized transportation, which allows them to meet various shipping needs while providing flexibility to their drivers. Koch Trucking is part of Koch Companies, a larger conglomerate that offers a wide array of transportation-related services such as truckload freight hauling, logistics, warehousing, and truck/trailer leasing. Recognized for its workplace culture and diversity initiatives, Koch Companies has earned accolades including the 2025 Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation by the Women in Trucking Association and has been listed as a Top 200 Workplace by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The company is currently seeking talented CDL-A Specialized Company Drivers to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to earn a competitive salary with an average annual income of $85,000, with top performers making $95,000 or more. Additionally, new hires are eligible for a $6,000 signing bonus. Drivers will receive starting pay ranging from 57 to 59 cents per mile, depending on experience, with potential to earn an extra cent per mile when delivering to Canada if they have passports. The position involves hauling specialized trailers such as flatbed, step deck, or Conestoga, requiring a minimum of one year of experience in these areas. Drivers can expect to be on the road for 10-14 days depending on location, covering average weekly miles between 2,200 and 2,400. The company emphasizes driver comfort and job satisfaction, providing relatively new equipment, with trucks averaging only 16 months old. Their fleet consists of Volvo 860 and Freightliner Cascadia trucks equipped with amenities such as refrigerators, leather interiors, double curtain wraps, double bunks, and built-in inverters.
Koch Trucking offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support drivers both on and off the road. Benefits include paid weekly salaries, paid time off starting from the first day plus three floating holidays annually, and health benefits encompassing medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. The company also provides free equipment such as an iPad with a data package to help drivers stay connected with their families, a pet and rider policy, a 401(k) plan with company match, and 24/7/365 roadside assistance. Orientation is fully paid and held at a luxury hotel in Appling, GA, ensuring new drivers have a comfortable start. Moreover, drivers enjoy additional perks like a rolling strong driver app for better communication and a free drivers lounge offering essentials such as soap, shampoo, towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, laundry soap, pizza, and sandwiches. Incentives like drop and stop pay (four dollars per loaded/unloaded car and thirty dollars per stop) and a three-thousand-dollar referral bonus further enhance the compensation package.
This role is ideal for motivated and experienced CDL-A drivers who are looking for a company that values their contributions and offers a stable, supportive, and rewarding work environment. With a strong focus on safety, innovation, and driver satisfaction, Koch Trucking provides drivers with the tools and resources needed to succeed. Drivers will benefit from modern equipment, attractive pay, a generous benefits package, and an employee-friendly culture that prioritizes their well-being and professional growth. Join Koch Trucking today and become part of a company that has been leading the transportation industry for over 40 years and continues to set the standard for excellence.
