As a significant player in the food distribution sector, US Foods supports thousands of customers by delivering essential products that help them achieve their business goals. The company fosters a culture of respect, collaboration, and accountability, making it a top choice for professionals seeking rewarding careers in food distribution and logistics.

As a US Foods Driver, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring safe and timely delivery of products to our valued customers. This position offers a competitive hourly wage with top earners making up to $45 per hour and includes a $5,000 retention bonus for new hires, highlighting the company's commitment to attracting and retaining talented drivers. Working regularly from Sunday night through Friday, with occasional Saturday morning runs, this role provides flexibility with 4 or 5-day workweeks available. Most routes dispatch late in the evening between 10 PM and 3 AM and may require willingness to participate in team routes and layover routes as needed.

The driver’s primary duties include safely operating trucks to deliver products, carefully unloading items using equipment like two-wheelers and pallet jacks, verifying delivery accuracy, obtaining customer signatures, handling collections when required, and maintaining professional customer service standards. Pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment are essential responsibilities to ensure all operations run smoothly and safely. This position demands physical capability, including lifting and moving heavy loads ranging from 20 to over 80 pounds repeatedly during shifts and working in various weather conditions with frequent stops.

Candidates for this role should be at least 21 years old and hold a valid CDL Class A license with appropriate endorsements. Experience requirements include at least six months of commercial driving experience in any industry or three months specifically within the food and beverage delivery sector. The ability to operate manual transmissions is preferred and may be mandatory in certain locations. Proficiency in English for communication, report completion, and understanding traffic regulations is necessary.

US Foods provides a comprehensive Total Rewards package to its drivers, including health insurance, retirement options, paid time off, disability coverage, employee stock purchase plans, and life insurance. The company strongly emphasizes a positive work environment where drivers are recognized as vital contributors to customer satisfaction and organizational success. By joining the US Foods driver team, you become part of a supportive community that values integrity, reliability, and service excellence, enhancing both career growth and personal achievement.
