The CDL-A Driver position at US Foods offers a rewarding career path for candidates passionate about logistics and customer service within the foodservice industry. This role requires a valid CDL Class A license and involves driving trucks to deliver food products to customers while adhering strictly to safety protocols and delivery schedules. Drivers will be responsible not only for transporting goods but also for ensuring proper unloading and placement of products at customer locations, verifying delivery accuracy, handling collections when applicable, and upholding excellent customer service standards to foster positive client relationships. The position offers a competitive compensation package, including an expected base rate of $34 to $39 per hour with additional overtime and shift differential pay where applicable. US Foods offers a significant $15,000 retention bonus for eligible new hires and the potential to earn up to $130,000 in the first year. The work schedule is predominantly Monday through Saturday with two days off, requiring Saturday availability. Dispatch times occur between midnight and 5:00 AM.

Job Requirements
- Must have valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have minimum six months commercial driving experience or three months in food/beverage delivery
- Ability to register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 80+ lbs repetitively
- Comfortable working in inclement weather with frequent stops
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Must be able to read and communicate in English
Job Qualifications
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience in any industry or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Must be able to read and communicate in English
Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
