Their workforce comprises skilled professionals dedicated to making a difference in the food service industry. This company prides itself on its Total Rewards program that respects and rewards associates for their hard work and commitment, providing competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

The US Foods Driver role is a critical position within the company, responsible for safely transporting food products to customers while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role offers an attractive compensation package with a retention bonus of $5,000 for new hires and the potential for top earners to make as much as $45 per hour. The driver position is full-time with schedules typically running from Sunday night through Friday, with occasional routes on Saturday mornings. Drivers have options for 4 or 5 day workweeks with two or three days off during the week. Most routes dispatch between 10pm and 3am, and drivers should be prepared to take on team routes and layover routes as necessary.

In this role, drivers are responsible for ensuring that products are carefully unloaded using equipment such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks and placed in designated storage areas according to customer requirements. Drivers verify delivery accuracy with customers, obtain proper signatures, and handle collections and payments when applicable. Safety is paramount, and drivers perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment reliability. They are also expected to perform customer service duties professionally, enhancing the client experience. Physical demands include lifting heavy loads regularly, sometimes exceeding 80 pounds, and operating in various weather conditions with multiple stops per shift.

Applicants for the US Foods Driver position must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid CDL Class A license with the necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. A minimum of six months commercial driving experience, or three months in food or beverage delivery, is required. Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is mandatory, as per Department of Transportation regulations, ensuring compliance with drug and alcohol program requirements. Fluency in English to communicate effectively and operate safely is also necessary. Knowledge or ability to operate manual transmissions may be preferred in specific locations.

US Foods provides its employees with excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, disability insurance, and opportunities for stock purchase. The company's strong cultural beliefs emphasize ethical work practices and a supportive environment, helping drivers succeed both on and off the road. This driver role offers opportunities for professional growth while contributing to a company that values teamwork and customer satisfaction.
