This job opportunity is for the position of a US Foods Driver, an essential role that requires driving trucks safely to customers and ensuring scheduled deliveries are met promptly. This is a career opportunity for those who want to work with a leading company in the food service distribution industry. The work schedule is Monday through Saturday, typically starting between 3 AM and 6 AM. The role expects relocation to Aurora, Illinois, by mid-2026. Compensation is competitive and depends on relevant experience, education, skills, job function, and geographic location, with an estimated base pay ranging between $35.89 and $39.88 per hour.
The US Foods Driver is responsible for unloading product trailers using equipment such as two-wheelers or pallet jacks or by hand, ensuring that products are placed in the designated customer storage areas accurately. The driver verifies delivery accuracy through customer signatures and handles collections and payments when necessary. An important part of the role involves maintaining excellent customer service to enhance the overall client experience. Drivers must perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections meticulously to ensure safety and compliance. Physical demands include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull weights ranging from 20 to over 80 pounds frequently throughout the shift. Working in various weather conditions is required along with making frequent stops during the day.
Applicants must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, be at least 21 years old, and hold a valid CDL Class A license issued from their state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. A minimum experience of six months commercial driving in any industry, or three months in the food and beverage delivery sector, is required. While the ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred, it may be required depending on location. Fluency in English for communication, understanding traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and completing reports is mandatory.

Job Requirements
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months in food and/or beverage delivery industry
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred

Job Duties

- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
