The US Foods Driver role is a vital position that contributes significantly to the company's success by ensuring safe and timely delivery of food and related products to a diverse customer base. This full-time position requires dedication to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service. The typical schedule runs Monday through Saturday, often beginning early in the morning, with start times between 3 AM and 6 AM. The position is currently located with plans to relocate to Aurora, Illinois, in mid-2026.

Compensation for this role is competitive, generally ranging from $35.89 to $39.88 per hour, depending on relevant experience, education, skills, job function, and geographic location. Physical requirements for the role include the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing between 20 to 80 or more pounds repetitively throughout each shift. Drivers must be comfortable operating vehicles in all weather conditions and making frequent stops, sometimes exceeding ten per shift. A valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications is mandatory, and candidates must be at least 21 years old. Commercial driving experience, particularly in the food and beverage delivery sector, is preferred, with a minimum of three to six months required based on industry experience. The ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle may be preferred or required depending on location.

This role requires good communication skills in English to understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete paperwork accurately. Additionally, registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a Department of Transportation requirement essential for maintaining compliance with drug and alcohol program regulations.
