Drivers must also be comfortable driving and working in various weather conditions with frequent stops — more than ten stops per shift are typical.

Candidates must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse as a regulatory requirement and hold a valid CDL Class A license with the necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. Drivers must be at least 21 years old and should have at least six months of commercial driving experience in any industry or three months if specifically in food or beverage delivery. The ability to read, communicate effectively in English, and operate a manual transmission (preferred and sometimes required by location) are also essential.
