The role of a US Foods Driver is pivotal in the company's supply chain operations. This position offers full-time employment with a Monday through Friday evening schedule starting at 7 pm and extending until the day's work is complete, including overtime as needed. Compensation for this role starts at approximately $26 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience, education, skills, and geographic factors. As a US Foods Driver, you will be entrusted with responsibilities critical to ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods. The job involves coordination with dispatchers and warehouse personnel to assign truck and trailer loads, operating commercial vehicles with care and professionalism, and ensuring equipment readiness for daily deliveries. The position requires physical stamina to handle repetitive lifting and moving of products weighing between 20 to over 80 pounds. Working conditions will occasionally include inclement weather, so a dependable and safety-aware approach is necessary.
Candidates for this role must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid CDL Class A license with the required endorsements and Department of Transportation qualifications. Preference is given to drivers with six months or more of commercial driving experience and the ability to operate vehicles with manual transmissions. Effective communication in English is essential for safe navigation, understanding of traffic signals, and accurate reporting. Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a government-maintained database that enhances transparency and safety for commercial drivers, is mandated.

Job Requirements
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- must be at least 21 years of age
- must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- minimum of six months commercial driving experience preferred
- ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- must be able to read and communicate in the English language

Job Duties
- Communicate with dispatcher/router for truck and trailer and door assignments
- keep assigned equipment coupled
- move trailers between buildings as directed by router or warehouse supervisor
- load, unload, or merge loads between environments
- stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers
- set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets
- place backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouse
- make sure all equipment is paired and ready for next day’s deliveries
- work with mechanics nightly
- must attend all required company meetings
- all other duties as assigned
