With a local leadership network that supports growth and a strong safety culture, US Foods provides a professional and dynamic working environment for all employees. This organization emphasizes respect, reliability, integrity, and collaboration in everything they do, shaping the communities where their customers live and work. They also offer competitive compensation, strong benefits, and various incentives that demonstrate how much they value their associates. The company is currently recruiting for Delivery Driver positions with employment opportunities that include a competitive hourly wage, retention bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance coverage.

The Delivery Driver role at US Foods is an essential position responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of food products to a range of customers while maintaining excellent customer service. Drivers are the face of the company on the road and play a critical role in strengthening customer relationships through professionalism and reliability. This position requires safely operating trucks to deliver products according to scheduled times, unloading deliveries using equipment such as pallet jacks and two-wheelers, verifying accuracy of deliveries alongside customers, and obtaining necessary signatures. Additionally, drivers may handle collections and payments from customers when applicable. US Foods prioritizes safety by requiring pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections and ensuring drivers meet all Department of Transportation regulations.

Physical demands include the ability to lift and move 20 to 80 plus pounds repeatedly throughout a shift, as well as working in various weather conditions with frequent stops. The role also places importance on clear communication skills, as drivers must read and understand highway signs, complete paperwork, and interact effectively with customers. Applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria such as being at least 21 years old, possessing a valid CDL Class A license with endorsements, and having a minimum amount of commercial driving experience. Experience within the food and beverage delivery industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Working at US Foods offers individuals an opportunity to advance their careers, benefit from company incentives like the $2,500 retention bonus for eligible new hires, and enjoy a supportive work culture. Drivers receive a starting wage of $22 per hour during training, with the potential to earn between $25 to $30 per hour under component pay. The company is also committed to ensuring compliance with federal transportation regulations, including mandatory registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse database, which tracks drug and alcohol program violations for CDL holders. This comprehensive approach reflects US Foods’ dedication to both employee welfare and operational excellence, making it an attractive choice for experienced drivers seeking long-term, rewarding employment in the foodservice distribution industry.
