Job Description

Dollar General Fleet is a division of Dollar General, one of America's leading discount retailers, operating thousands of stores across the country. Known for their wide range of everyday products at affordable prices, Dollar General continues to expand its network extensively. The company's fleet operations are essential to maintaining its supply chain efficiency by delivering goods from distribution centers to stores regionally. With a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and employee satisfaction, Dollar General Fleet aims to attract skilled and responsible professional drivers to support their growing business needs.

The Class A CDL Truck Driver position at Dollar General Fleet is a regional driving role designed to offer a balanced lifestyle with home weekly schedules. These drivers serve as the crucial link between Dollar General’s distribution centers and its retail locations, ensuring shelves remain stocked with necessary merchandise. This position offers full-time employment with competitive pay that can reach up to $100,000 annually depending on route, experience, and performance bonuses. A key benefit of this role is the ability to return home every week, unlike many long-haul trucking jobs that require extended time on the road.

Drivers also enjoy bringing one vaccinated, non-aggressive pet along during their trips to make life on the road more enjoyable and comforting. Dollar General Fleet encourages a strong safety culture, supported by quarterly safety bonuses and new state-of-the-art equipment. In addition, drivers are paid weekly with a compensation structure that includes mile and stop pay.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL and minimum one year of tractor-trailer driving experience, as well as being at least 21 years old. With a competitive benefits package available from day one, including a 401k plan, drivers have the security and support needed to build a career. Dollar General values its truck drivers highly, offering a zero-cost rider policy to provide an exceptional work experience. If you are a professional truck driver seeking a stable regional driving job with competitive earnings, weekly home time, and the chance to travel with your pet, Dollar General Fleet’s Class A CDL Truck Driver position could be the opportunity you’re looking for.
