Job Description
Dollar General Fleet is a prominent logistics and transportation division of Dollar General, one of America's leading discount retailers. Known for its vast network of stores across the United States, Dollar General relies on its fleet drivers to maintain a seamless supply chain, ensuring that goods reach their destinations in a timely and efficient manner. As a regional truck driver for Dollar General Fleet, you will play a critical role connecting distribution centers with retail stores, enabling the company to keep shelves stocked and meet customer demand nationwide.
This role is ideal for Class A CDL truck drivers looking for regional routes that provide the comfort of being home every week. Unlike long-haul positions that require extended time away from home, Dollar General Fleet’s regional home weekly routes are thoughtfully designed to create a sustainable work-life balance for drivers. The position offers competitive earnings, with a potential annual income of up to $100,000, inclusive of mile and stop pay, and quarterly safety bonuses. Drivers also appreciate being paid on a weekly basis, with compensation varying depending on the specific route, geographic location, experience level, and eligibility for bonuses.
Working as a Dollar General Fleet truck driver not only means excellent compensation but also a comprehensive benefits package that starts from day one. Drivers have access to 401k retirement plans and newer equipment, improving both safety and driving experience. The company fosters a unique and welcoming environment for pets, allowing drivers to bring one vaccinated, non-aggressive dog or cat along on the route. This pet-friendly policy helps drivers maintain their companionship and comfort while on the road, with clear guidelines to ensure safety and compliance.
In addition to the attractive pay and benefits, DG Fleet’s emphasis on life on the road and work-life balance makes this job particularly appealing. With policies designed to maximize drivers’ time at home, the company values the importance of family, pets, and personal well-being. A reliable, supportive work atmosphere combined with professional growth opportunities and the latest equipment means drivers can feel confident and appreciated in their role.
