The Regional CDL-A Truck Driver position at Ryder features a strong weekly earning potential, with pay starting at $1,438 or more per week and an hourly wage of $29.51. Additional incentives include a sign-on bonus totaling $3,000, paid out in two installments at 30 and 90 days of employment. The freight handled includes touch freight responsibilities such as strapping and unstrapping loads. Deliveries cover Oregon, Washington, and the northern tip of California. Ryder welcomes drivers with auto endorsements, accommodating various license restrictions.

Beyond the compensation and operational details, Ryder invests significantly in driver support and resources. Drivers are empowered as the captain of their vehicles, entrusted with making safety decisions that protect both the driver and the cargo. Employees receive a 401(k) rollover option plus company match after one year, 12 weeks of paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility), and employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, technology, and more. Ryder's truck fleet is modern, with vehicles 36 months or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling services at over 800 nationwide facilities. Additional perks include 80 hours of paid time-off accrued starting from day one that drivers can use or opt to be paid for, along with uniform, cell phone, and boot allowances.
