Job Description

Dollar General Fleet is a division of Dollar General, a leading discount retailer serving millions of customers across the United States. Dollar General operates more than 18,000 stores in 46 states, offering a wide assortment of everyday necessities, making it a trusted name in rural and suburban communities. The company is committed to convenience, value, and quality, and it continuously expands its footprint with new stores opening regularly nationwide. The Dollar General Fleet plays a vital role in this growth by ensuring the seamless distribution of products from distribution centers to retail locations. This logistical backbone ensures shelves remain stocked and customers have access to the products they need. As a dollar store chain with a strong focus on community and customer service, Dollar General maintains a culture that values safety, reliability, and professional growth for its employees.

Dollar General Fleet is currently seeking Class A CDL Truck Drivers for regional routes that offer home time on a weekly basis. This role is an excellent opportunity for truck drivers preferring regional runs who want to maintain a healthy work-life balance by getting home regularly. Drivers on these routes serve as essential links between Dollar General distribution centers and retail stores, delivering goods safely and on schedule. You will operate well-maintained, new equipment, and benefit from a comprehensive compensation package that rewards experience and safety performance, including pay per mile and stops, quarterly safety bonuses, and weekly paychecks. Drivers may earn up to $100,000 annually, depending on route, location, experience, and bonus eligibility.

One unique aspect of this job is the pet-friendly policy. Drivers are encouraged to bring along one vaccinated, non-aggressive dog or cat as a companion on the road. This policy supports drivers' well-being by allowing them to share the home environment with their pets even during extended trips. This role prioritizes safety, requiring drivers to adhere to strict guidelines such as maintaining proper vaccination records for pets, keeping pets secured while on Dollar General property, and following all DOT regulations.

At Dollar General Fleet, the life on the road is structured to promote consistency and comfort. These regional home weekly routes ensure drivers return home every week, reducing the stress often associated with long-haul trucking. In addition, Dollar General offers a zero-cost rider policy, meaning drivers do not have to pay for their riders, enhancing job satisfaction and quality of life.

In summary, this position as a Class A CDL Truck Driver with Dollar General Fleet is ideal for seasoned professional drivers who are looking for stable regional routes, competitive pay, weekly home time, and a welcoming work environment with attractive benefits from day one. If you are dedicated to safety, reliable delivery, and want to be part of a respected national retailer’s logistics team, this role could be a perfect fit.
