Job Description
Albertsons Companies stands as a leading figure in the retail industry, boasting one of the largest networks of food and drug stores across the United States. With over 2,200 stores spread throughout 34 states and the District of Columbia, Albertsons is recognized by its iconic banners including Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, Shaw's, Acme, Tom Thumb, Randalls, United Supermarkets, Pavilions, Star Market, Haggen, Carrs, Kings Food Markets, and Balducci's Food Lovers Market. This extensive presence is supported by a robust infrastructure featuring 22 distribution centers and 19 manufacturing plants dedicated to ensuring quality and availability of products. Albertsons is deeply committed to innovation and fostering a culture of belonging, aiming to create moments of joy around every table and inspire healthier lifestyles in every community they serve.
As a CDL A Truck Driver at Albertsons Companies, you will become an essential part of this dynamic and growth-oriented company, playing a pivotal role in the supply chain that delivers fresh and quality products to stores and ultimately to customers. This role is perfect for motivated individuals who value safety, professionalism, and reliability in their work and want to be part of a well-established company that respects their contributions.
The position primarily focuses on local hauls, allowing drivers to enjoy the comfort of sleeping in their own bed nightly, providing invaluable work-life balance. You will operate well-maintained, top-of-the-line equipment, which ensures a superior driving experience. Albertsons emphasizes safety above everything, providing comprehensive safety training and adherence to all transportation regulations, making your security a top priority.
As a CDL Driver, your duties will include pre- and post-trip inspections of your vehicle, ensuring all equipment is in safe and effective working order and that loads are secured and managed properly. You'll be tasked with transporting goods reliably and efficiently from distribution centers to various store locations, using safe driving practices and adhering strictly to DOT regulations and company policies. Delivering excellence means not only timely and accurate deliveries but also engaging positively with customers and team members, reflecting the company’s core values.
Albertsons offers competitive wages starting at rates aligned with local minimum wage laws but adjusted upward depending on experience, qualifications, and location. Additional benefits include the unique opportunity to access up to 50% of your earned wages before payday through a partnership with Stream, providing financial flexibility. With a large company backing you, you benefit from solid retirement plans, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment that values collaboration and professional development.
If you have a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, a minimum of two years’ experience driving 53ft tractor trailers, and are ready to commit to a career that respects your lifestyle needs while fostering professional growth, Albertsons Companies invites you to apply. Join a company that not only moves products but also moves people forward—both its customers and employees alike.
