The role of a US Foods Driver is crucial in the operational success of the company. Delivery Drivers at US Foods are tasked with safely operating company trucks to deliver food products to customers while maintaining timely schedules that fulfill customer demands. This position is designed for individuals who are dependable, customer-focused, and able to handle the physical demands of the job. Drivers will engage in tasks including unloading products, verifying delivery accuracy, collecting payments if necessary, and completing required vehicle inspections. The job offers a starting wage of $30.00 per hour with the potential for overtime pay after 40 hours, weekly pay schedules, and opportunities for a flexible workweek primarily from Monday through Saturday with early morning shifts. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
  • Registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse

Job Qualifications

  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
