Founded with a deep understanding of the food service industry, US Foods has grown substantially and now provides a wide range of products and solutions to restaurants, healthcare facilities, hospitality venues, and other foodservice operators nationwide. Known for its culture of promoting from within, comprehensive training programs, and continuous improvement efforts, US Foods fosters an environment where employees can develop and thrive in their careers. This company is focused on building relationships, empowering teams, and delivering top-quality service to maintain its leadership position in the industry.

The role of a US Foods driver in Madison, WI, offers an exceptional opportunity to join a company that values skill, integrity, and dedication. This position is scheduled with 4 ten-hour days, Monday through Friday, with shifts starting between 2 am and 5 am, offering daily overtime after ten hours. The expected base pay for this role is $34.04 per hour, with overtime compensation and an eligible $5,000 retention bonus. Benefits include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, an employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.

As a US Foods driver, you will be essential to the delivery and customer service operations. You will be responsible for safely transporting products to customers, unloading items carefully using equipment such as pallet jacks and two-wheelers, and placing them in designated areas. Accurate delivery verification, including obtaining necessary signatures and handling payments when required, will be key to providing excellent customer service. You will also perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. This role demands physical stamina, as lifting and moving heavy products in varying weather conditions are routine. Also important is adherence to registering with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a Department of Transportation mandate ensuring all commercial drivers maintain required compliance.

US Foods offers a work culture that values the contributions of every team member, especially drivers who serve as vital links between the company and its customers. Drivers at US Foods are encouraged to uphold values of reliability, integrity, and professionalism in every interaction. Joining this team means being part of a forward-thinking organization that not only supplies products but helps communities thrive. The opportunity to grow within the company through solid training and supportive management makes this a compelling career choice for those with commercial driving experience ready to advance their professional paths.
