Job Description
Blue Line Distribution is a family-owned and operated company with over 50 years of experience as the in-house distributor for Little Caesars Pizza. Known for its commitment to customized and innovative food service logistics, Blue Line Distribution places a high priority on safety and operational excellence. Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, the company has established a reputation for fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment where employees—referred to as colleagues—are the cornerstone of its success. The company measures its achievements not just in profits but through the growth and development of its workforce, investing heavily in its people to build a bigger, better, and bolder future. The family-oriented atmosphere promotes a culture of internal growth, allowing colleagues to climb the ranks while enjoying job stability in a recession-proof business. Blue Line Distribution operates state-of-the-art equipment leased from Penske, ensuring high-quality tools and resources for drivers and delivery staff.
The role of Class A Driver at Blue Line Distribution offers competitive compensation with a starting pay rate of $31.98 per hour and overtime pay beyond 40 hours. This full-time position typically requires 40-50 hours per week, covering delivery routes primarily local within Utah, Montana, and Idaho. Drivers enjoy a structured schedule with center runs from Sunday night through Saturday morning, resulting in a four-day workweek with weekends off and a Thursday last dispatch at 10:00 pm. The company supports its drivers with modern conveniences such as lift-gates and electric pallet jacks or carts/ramps to ease the unloading process at stores. Furthermore, Blue Line Distribution provides numerous employee benefits, including three weeks of paid time off, meal per diem after 10 hours worked, and company-sponsored footwear and uniforms. Other perks include company-paid hotel lodging during trips, layover premiums, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans for full-time colleagues after 90 days of employment. Retirement is supported through a 401k plan with company matching after six months of service. Blue Line Distribution also offers an employee assistance program and optional benefits such as critical illness plans, legal plans, whole life insurance, and adoption benefits.
This role requires applicants to have at least one year of verified tractor-trailer experience with a valid Class A CDL license. A clean driving record is essential, with no more than three moving violations and one DOT-preventable accident in the past three years. Candidates must also be registered with the FMCSA Clearing House and able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening, physical, and road test. Direct Store Delivery experience is preferred but not mandatory. Blue Line Distribution is an equal employment opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity and will provide reasonable accommodations during the hiring process. The company participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility.
