Job Description

Chalk Mountain is a leading provider of oil field services based in West Texas, known for delivering exceptional and specialized transportation solutions exclusively within the oil and gas industry. Since its inception, the company has established itself as a top player by focusing on consistent routes and dependable service, allowing drivers to return to home terminal locations daily. Chalk Mountain emphasizes a driver-centered culture that supports a balanced lifestyle, offering weekly home time along with free housing options, making it a highly desirable employer in the oil field transportation sector. Recognized for its excellence in operational safety and employee welfare, Chalk Mountain continues to set industry standards, as evidenced by multiple awards including the 2022 Samsara Connected Operations Award for Safest Operator and the TCA 2022 Fleet Safety Award. The company also boasts a remarkable safety record with over 20 million miles driven without a DOT-recordable preventable accident, underscoring its commitment to driver safety and community protection.

The role at Chalk Mountain is tailored for truck drivers who want to earn competitive pay while enjoying a consistent and manageable work schedule. Drivers at Chalk Mountain are compensated by the hour, not by mileage, which guarantees fair and transparent pay that includes orientation and training periods. With a rolling 5/2-5/3 schedule, drivers get the benefit of frequent home time, facilitating a healthy work-life balance that is rarely matched in the oil field services industry. This position is ideal for experienced truck drivers who value stability, reliability, and modern equipment; the company maintains a state-of-the-art fleet where power units operate on a 2.5-year trade cycle, ensuring that drivers always have access to quality and well-maintained vehicles. In addition to competitive pay, drivers are supported by excellent benefits such as free housing options, scheduled days off, comprehensive medical coverage, dental and vision insurance, disability benefits, and paid time off after 90 days.

Joining Chalk Mountain means more than just driving; it means becoming part of a team that prioritizes safety, professional growth, and employee recognition. Their outstanding maintenance program and stringent COVID-19 safety protocols provide a secure work environment, fostering trust and well-being among employees. The company also offers a 401(k) retirement plan with up to 4 percent company match after just 60 days, adding financial security and future planning to the long list of employee benefits. Drivers can also inquire about the pay protection program that offers additional peace of mind. At Chalk Mountain, the focus is on creating long-term career opportunities where drivers can grow, earn well above average, and enjoy the perks of a supportive, award-winning workplace that acknowledges their crucial role in the energy sector.
