Job Description

Schneider is a leading transportation and logistics company specializing in various trucking services across the United States. Known for their commitment to safety, innovative driver programs, and a strong company culture, Schneider offers reliable freight solutions and competitive compensation packages. With a vast network of facilities nationwide, Schneider supports its drivers with modern equipment, comprehensive benefits, and a focus on career growth. The company places great emphasis on an inclusive work environment where diversity and respect are foundational to its ongoing success.

The Team Van Truckload Truck Driver position at Schneider is a full-time role that primarily involves hauling dry van trailers filled with 100% no-touch freight, which means drivers do not have to manage loading or unloading manually. The routes cover all 48 states, giving drivers a broad geographic area of operation with consistent miles. One unique benefit of this role is the Team Pet Policy, allowing drivers to bring their dogs or cats on the road, fostering comfort and companionship during long drives. The average weekly pay ranges from $1,400 to $1,700 with the opportunity to earn even more through mileage and hourly pay while on duty but not driving.

This position includes a generous pay and bonus structure, featuring weekly paychecks and performance pay. Experienced drivers are eligible for a $6,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in their first year, while less experienced drivers can earn a $3,000 sign-on bonus. New hires also receive paid orientation and paid time off after six months, along with six days of holiday pay each year. Moreover, there is an annual bonus opportunity where drivers can earn up to 2% of their annual gross pay, incentivizing long-term commitment and performance.

Schneider provides new equipment averaging only 12 months old, enhanced with features such as automated transmissions, optimized idle functions, and upgraded driver seats designed for maximum comfort and efficiency. Drivers also have access to a nationwide network of facilities that offer free parking, showers, laundry services, WiFi, exercise equipment, TV lounges, and cafeterias. This level of support ensures drivers have the resources they need to maintain a good quality of life on the road.

The company values constant support for its drivers through team driver advisors who provide insights and tips based on their experience. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company matching, unlimited referral bonuses, and a monthly tuition reimbursement program. Schneider also helps drivers find partners through the Team Matching Program and offers credit for military experience and military apprenticeship programs, highlighting their commitment to veterans.

Schneider is dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture that embraces diversity in all forms, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability, veteran status, and more. The company ensures equal access to opportunities and drives innovation through this diversity, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The use of E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility further underscores Schneider's commitment to lawful and fair hiring practices.
