Job Description
Linde is a global leader in industrial gases and engineering with a rich history of providing innovative and sustainable solutions to various industries. With reported sales of 33 billion dollars in 2024, Linde operates across a broad range of sectors including chemicals and refining, food and beverage, electronics, healthcare, manufacturing, and primary metals. The company’s products and technologies are integral to crucial applications such as life-saving medical oxygen, specialty gases for electronics manufacturing, hydrogen fuel for clean energy initiatives, and bespoke gas processing solutions that aid customers in expanding their operations, improving efficiency, and reducing emissions. Given its comprehensive footprint in the industrial gases market, Linde is recognized for its commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence while driving sustainability efforts worldwide.
The role of the Class A Bulk Tanker Driver at Linde is a vital position within the logistics team. This position involves delivering industrial gases like liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, CO2, and hydrogen directly to customer sites using tractor-trailer tankers. These deliveries may include stops at government facilities and other secure locations that require rigorous background checks and adherence to heightened safety and security measures. Applicants must be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and fully compliant with all regulatory and company safety protocols specifically related to the transportation of cryogenic liquids. The job demands a strong sense of responsibility to ensure that all safety standards, laws, and regulations are followed at every stage of transport and delivery.
In this role, drivers will perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain equipment reliability and safety. They will handle the connection and disconnection of transfer hoses for cryogenic tanks, monitor pressure and temperature during delivery, and manage hazardous materials shipping paperwork according to the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Accurate documentation and logbook maintenance are critical components of this job to ensure both legal compliance and internal record-keeping. Drivers must also be able to identify when vehicle maintenance or repairs are needed and communicate these promptly to avoid operational delays.
Linde offers this position with attractive earning potential, averaging $148,000 annually, with weekly direct deposit payments. The company provides training for qualified drivers, ensuring they are well-prepared for the specialized demands of handling industrial gases. Additionally, this role offers weekly home time with two full days each week to spend at home, supporting a healthy work-life balance. Comprehensive benefits include 15 days of paid time off, paid holidays, a matching 401(k) retirement plan of up to 5%, and a company-paid pension plan at 4%. Drivers will operate newer late-model equipment, receive annual boot reimbursements, and enjoy company-provided uniforms. Linde emphasizes a clean and safe work environment and offers stable, consistent work for its drivers.
Overall, this position at Linde is perfect for experienced Class A drivers who want to advance their careers in a rewarding, safety-critical role with an industry-leading company. Linde’s strong market position, comprehensive benefits, and commitment to training and employee growth combine to provide an exceptional opportunity for dedicated driving professionals. Candidates looking to make a tangible impact while enjoying competitive pay and supportive workplace culture will find a rewarding career path at Linde.
