Job Description
Linde is a globally recognized industrial gases and engineering company with 2024 sales reaching $33 billion. The company stands at the forefront of innovation and sustainability in its field, delivering high-quality solutions, technologies, and services to enhance productivity across a diverse range of industries. From life-saving medical oxygen used in hospitals to high-purity and specialty gases essential for electronics manufacturing, Linde supports critical sectors including chemicals and refining, food and beverage, healthcare, electronics, manufacturing, and primary metals. The company's commitment to sustainability is evident in its development of advanced gas processing solutions aimed at improving efficiency, facilitating customer expansion, and reducing emissions.
At Linde, the mission is clear: to make the world more productive every day. The company has cultivated a work environment that values safety, reliability, and professional growth, providing employees with competitive compensation, outstanding benefits such as health, dental, disability, and life insurance, as well as pension plans and 401(k) matching programs. Linde also emphasizes a clean work environment and offers excellent support for educational and professional development, reflecting its investment in its workforce.
The Class A Bulk Tanker Driver position at Linde plays a crucial role within the company’s logistics operations. This role involves the delivery of industrial gases such as liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, CO2, and hydrogen to customer sites using tractor-trailer tankers. Safety is paramount in this position, as drivers must comply with all pertinent safety standards, laws, and regulations while handling cryogenic and hazardous materials. The role requires precise attention to detail for conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, coupling and uncoupling trailers, and monitoring pressure and temperature levels during delivery to ensure safe unloading. Careers with Linde also often involve servicing government facilities and other high-security sites, requiring adherence to heightened security protocols and thorough background investigations.
Successful candidates will be adept at maintaining accurate shipping documentation consistent with DOT regulations and company policies, identifying vehicle maintenance needs, and fostering professional relationships with customers and team members. The position offers a 30/5 work schedule with consecutive days off, direct weekly deposit payments, paid holidays, and 15 days of paid time off. Additional benefits include an annual boot reimbursement, company-provided uniforms, and access to some of the newest trucks equipped with the latest safety and comfort technology. Linde's dedication to safety and quality makes this role attractive for professional drivers seeking a stable and rewarding career path.
Given the importance of cryogenic experience, candidates must have a minimum of three years of tractor-trailer and/or two years of tanker truck driving experience. They must also be capable of obtaining a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card and willing to operate sleeper trucks. The ability to enter Canada for deliveries is an important aspect of the role. Educationally, candidates need at least a high school diploma or GED. Linde promotes equal employment opportunities and encourages diverse applicants to apply.
By joining Linde, drivers become part of an industry leader dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and professional excellence. The company's comprehensive benefits and focus on safety ensure employees can build a long-term career while making positive contributions to a greener and more productive future. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced tanker drivers who are passionate about safe driving, enjoy working with advanced technology, and want to grow with a stable, global company.
