The Class A Bulk Tanker Driver role at Linde is crucial to the company’s logistics operations, responsible for delivering industrial gases like liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen to various customer sites. This position involves operating tractor-trailer tankers safely and efficiently, adhering to stringent safety standards, regulations, and company policies. This role demands a strong dedication to safety, exceptional attention to detail, and strict compliance with cryogenic product transportation procedures.
As a Class A Bulk Tanker Driver, the individual will conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, manage trailer coupling and uncoupling, and securely connect and disconnect transfer hoses to ensure safe handling of cryogenic tanks and fittings. Monitoring pressure levels and temperature during deliveries is vital to secure proper unloading, alongside maintaining compliance with hazardous material shipping orders and documentation in line with Department of Transportation regulations. The driver also plays a key role in maintaining timely vehicle maintenance and fostering professional relationships with internal teams and external customers to meet organizational and client goals.
Linde offers competitive compensation with average earnings surpassing $85,000 annually for local Class A drivers in Augusta, GA. This is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays, 15 days of paid time off annually, weekly direct deposit, and a matching 401(k) plan up to 5 percent contribution. Notably, the company provides a pension plan with a 4 percent contribution, along with company-covered expenses such as fuel, DEF, and tolls. Training programs are available for qualified drivers, and full benefits begin on the first of the month. The schedule offers five consecutive workdays followed by two full days off, providing work-life balance and job stability.
Working at Linde means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization that values diversity and inclusivity, offers opportunities for professional growth, and encourages continuous learning about how the business operates and succeeds. Prospective candidates will find an employer deeply invested in its workforce and committed to making a meaningful impact daily through safe and efficient transport of critical industrial gases.
