With decades of experience in freight hauling, Schneider prioritizes efficiency, reliability, and driver satisfaction across its operations. The company specializes in various freight services, including over-the-road, regional, dedicated, and tanker trucking, providing opportunities for professional growth and stability. Schneider’s dedication to innovation and employee support has established it as a preferred employer in the trucking industry. This tanker truck driver position at Schneider offers a competitive work environment with a focus on safety, training, and driver comfort. Drivers benefit from modern equipment designed for ergonomic comfort and cutting-edge technology to streamline transportation tasks. Schneider proudly upholds an inclusive culture that respects diversity across all facets such as race, gender, age, veteran status, and more, ensuring equal opportunity for all team members. The company also supports drivers through reasonable accommodations aligned with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to facilitate an equitable hiring process.

As a tanker truck driver with Schneider, you will be responsible for hauling approximately 75% non-hazardous freight in tanker trailers, contributing significantly to the logistics and supply chain efficiency. This role involves 3-5 loads per week, providing a balanced workload to maintain operational standards and driver well-being. The employment is full-time with a schedule that allows home time every other week, consisting of three days off, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. Pay for this position ranges from $1,180 to $1,450 weekly, including mileage and hourly pay when not driving, with additional earnings potential through performance bonuses and CDL endorsements. Drivers have the opportunity to increase their mileage pay by up to $0.03 per mile by obtaining further CDL certifications such as HazMat. Orientation is fully paid, allowing new hires to gain comprehensive training without financial burden, complemented by a strong focus on hands-on work experience and elite paid training programs specific to tanker driving.

Schneider values its drivers with a robust benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, and tuition reimbursement of up to $200 per month (capped at $7,000) to support ongoing education. Additional benefits include paid time off starting after six months, six days of holiday pay per year, unlimited referral bonuses, reimbursement for HazMat endorsement fees, and recognition of military experience along with specialized military apprenticeship programs. The company’s approach to driver support extends beyond pay and benefits to foster a positive, inclusive culture where innovation, strategic thinking, and leadership thrive. Drivers engaging with Schneider are backed by continuous development opportunities, premium equipment, and an organization-wide commitment to diversity and respect.
