Job Description
The hiring company is a reputable organization specializing in cement delivery services, operating within a field-based environment that emphasizes safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This company is committed to providing professional and reliable bulk cement transportation using tractor and tanker equipment. Their operations feature local routes and plant-based duties that allow drivers to return home daily, offering an optimal work-life balance for those seeking local driving positions. The company employs modern technology including iPads and radios for dispatch communications and the management of delivery tickets, ensuring all operations run smoothly and effectively. Working in an outdoor environment, employees must be prepared to handle dust, fumes, and high noise levels, typical challenges of fieldwork in the cement delivery industry.
The role of CDL A Tanker Driver presents a dynamic career opportunity for individuals keen on combining professional driving skills with hands-on field responsibilities. This position requires a professional experience operating a Class A vehicle, with a CDL A License being mandatory. Drivers are charged with the responsibility of conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining clean and well-functioning equipment including truck beds, cabs, and rotors. This role also involves direct customer interactions where drivers manage delivery tickets and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Physical activities for the position include climbing ladders, maneuvering hoses, and performing minor vehicle maintenance tasks like chipping away exterior cement. Safety and technical proficiency are paramount in this job, reflecting the company's high commitment to regulated and secure delivery processes. Ideal candidates are those who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and physically capable of handling rigorous duties, making this a rewarding job for individuals looking for a blend of driving and field work in a local setting.
