Job Description
Ecolab is a global leader in providing innovative water, hygiene, and infection prevention solutions and services to various industries, including foodservice, healthcare, energy, and industrial markets. With a strong commitment to sustainability and excellence, Ecolab partners with customers to ensure clean and safe environments, maximize operational efficiencies, and achieve high standards of safety and quality. The company is recognized for its ethical practices, cutting-edge technologies, and dedication to delivering outstanding customer service. Ecolab’s private fleet team is a crucial part of the business operations, focusing on safe and reliable delivery of essential bulk chemicals to support industrial and manufacturing processes across many sectors.
This position as a Customer Delivery Specialist (Class A CDL Driver, Tanker Driver) for Ecolab in City of Industry, CA offers an exceptional career opportunity within Ecolab’s private fleet operation. The role centers on the safe delivery of bulk chemicals to various customer locations, including plants and warehouses, often within a 500 to 700-mile radius from the City of Industry. The role involves operating diesel-powered bulk tanker vehicles and delivery trucks across diverse driving environments, such as congested highways, rural roads, and mountainous terrain.
Ecolab places the utmost importance on safety and compliance, ensuring that all drivers adhere to strict Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including hazardous materials handling. The role requires detailed pre-trip vehicle inspections, careful adherence to safety guidelines, and continuous communication with sales and supervisory teams. Drivers are expected to perform deliveries with accuracy and efficiency, wearing appropriate safety gear at all times.
This is a full-time position with an hourly salary averaging $37, depending on experience and qualifications. Ecolab values its drivers by compensating based on hours worked rather than per load, which emphasizes safety and quality service. The company provides an impressive comprehensive benefits package starting from the first day of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), pension plans, stock options, paid time off, and more. New drivers receive assigned new vehicles and equipment, with company-paid premium hotel stays and meal allowances during extended travel.
The role offers a work-life balance with home time on weekends, holidays, and paid time off. Ecolab also supports a safety-first culture through Stop Work Authority for drivers to halt operations if safety concerns arise. Drivers must be able to handle heavy loads up to 50 pounds and demonstrate strong skills in backing and maneuvering tankers and large trucks in tight industrial spaces.
Preferred candidates will have tanker and bulk chemical driving experience, specifically with hazardous materials, compliant with federal safety regulations. This role promises ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance safety awareness, customer service, and professional growth within a respected industry leader. As a Customer Delivery Specialist at Ecolab, you will be a trusted partner to customers, supporting their operational success through timely and safe chemical delivery while working for an industry leader committed to sustainability, innovation, and employee well-being.
