Job Requirements
- 21 plus years of age
- pass employment testing
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public
- valid class A commercial driver license with acceptable driving record
- physical ability to lift, push or move product weighing an average of 40 to 60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
Job Qualifications
- valid class A commercial driver license
- doubles/triples endorsement preferred
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway traffic signs
- safe driving record that meets company insurability standards
Job Duties
- operate a tractor-trailer to transport doubles and potentially triples between the Sysco facility and shuttle yards
- unload and deliver various products to customer locations on assigned route schedules as needed
- adhere to all safety and regulatory standards while operating vehicles
- perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and maintenance
- communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate deliveries
- manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules
- maintain accurate records of deliveries and routes
