Job Requirements
- 21 plus years of age
- Pass employment testing
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public and understand highway traffic signs and signals
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver license with acceptable driving record
- Doubles and Triples endorsement preferred
- Ability to touch freight and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver license
- Driving record that meets company insurability standards
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and understand traffic signs
- Experience operating tractor-trailers and doubles/triples preferred
- Demonstrated reliability and safe driving record
- Customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 100 pounds
Job Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer to transport doubles and potentially triples between Sysco facilities and shuttle yards
- Unload and deliver various products to customer locations on assigned routes as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to deliveries and vehicle operation
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers and dispatch
- Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times
