Job Description

Sysco is a leading foodservice distribution company, renowned for its commitment to delivering quality products and services to a vast array of customers in the foodservice industry. With decades of experience and industry-leading logistics capabilities, Sysco supports restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, lodging establishments, and other foodservice operators by providing a broad range of food products, kitchen equipment, and supplies. The company takes pride in its expansive network and its ability to innovate and adapt in a fast-paced and competitive market, making it a preferred partner for businesses needing reliable and efficient foodservice solutions.

This particular opportunity is for a part-time CDL A Shuttle Delivery Truck Driver who will play an integral role in Sysco's supply chain operations. The position involves safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer to transport double trailers, and potentially triple trailers, between Sysco facilities and shuttle yards. Key to the role is helping bridge the gap in the distribution process to ensure timed delivery and movement of goods within the network. In addition to shuttling, you may be asked on an as-needed basis to unload and deliver various products to customers on an assigned route schedule. This role requires safety-consciousness, punctuality, and professionalism due to the responsibility involved in handling the goods and the company’s reputation on the line.

As a CDL A Shuttle Delivery Truck Driver at Sysco, you will be an essential part of a team dedicated to reliability and customer satisfaction. The job offers steady work with the benefit of being home daily, which can provide a better work-life balance compared to long-haul driving jobs. The company values ongoing training, career growth opportunities, and a workplace culture centered on teamwork and respect. Part-time employment status allows for flexibility, fitting well for those seeking supplemental income or looking for a role with fewer hours but solid pay and benefits.

This role is fundamental to Sysco’s operational success, as precise, timely shuttle deliveries help maintain the seamless flow of inventory that customers rely on. You'll be expected to follow all safety protocols, maintain your vehicle, and contribute positively to daily workflow efficiency. Experience with doubles and triples is preferred, adding increased value to your ability to manage the complexities of longer trailer combinations safely. By joining Sysco, you become a part of an industry leader that values hard work, dedication, and commitment while offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits even for part-time employees.
