Job Description

Sysco is a leading global foodservice distribution company known for its commitment to quality, customer service, and innovative solutions in the food industry. As a well-established entity in the foodservice supply chain, Sysco plays an essential role in delivering fresh and reliable products to restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and other foodservice providers. With a strong national presence and a reputation for excellence, Sysco offers career opportunities that foster growth, stability, and a supportive work environment. The company's dedication to employee development and operational excellence has positioned it as an industry leader that values its workforce and continuously invests in their success.

The role of a CDL A Shuttle Delivery Truck Driver at Sysco is critical to maintaining efficient supply chain operations. This position involves safely operating a tractor-trailer to transport doubles — and potentially triples — between Sysco’s facilities and shuttle yards. Drivers must be dependable and skilled in managing complex vehicle operations to meet delivery schedules and maintain the high standards Sysco customers expect. On an as-needed basis, drivers may also be responsible for unloading products and delivering them to customer locations on assigned routes, ensuring timely and accurate product delivery.

This position offers the advantage of being home daily, which appeals to drivers looking for a balanced work-life schedule. Additionally, Sysco provides excellent pay combined with a comprehensive range of benefits, including paid vacation and holidays, healthcare coverage, retirement benefits, employee discount programs, and ongoing training opportunities for career advancement. The work environment emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional growth, making it ideal for transportation professionals seeking a rewarding and secure career path within a stable and respected company.

Candidates for this role should expect a physically demanding job that requires handling freight weighing between 40-60 pounds on average and occasionally up to 100 pounds. The ability to communicate effectively in English, understand highway traffic signs, and engage with customers and official personnel professionally is essential. Additionally, strong company support through ongoing driver training and uniform provision ensures that drivers are well-prepared and equipped to perform their duties efficiently and safely.

Overall, joining Sysco as a CDL A Shuttle Delivery Truck Driver means becoming part of a company that values its employees, prioritizes safety and efficiency, and provides competitive compensation and benefits. If you are a responsible and skilled driver ready to contribute to a top-tier foodservice company, this position offers an exciting opportunity to drive success alongside Sysco’s industry-leading team.
