Job Requirements
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Pass employment testing
- Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver license
- Meet company insurability standards for driving record
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, or moving freight weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and up to 100 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and understand highway traffic signs
- Experience operating tractor-trailers professionally preferred
- Doubles/Triples endorsement preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving freight weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally
Job Duties
- Operate a tractor-trailer to transport doubles and potentially triples between Sysco facilities and shuttle yards
- Unload and deliver products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards during vehicle operation
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and compliance documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation
- Assist with loading and securing cargo when necessary
