Job Description

Sysco is a leading foodservice distribution company renowned for its commitment to quality, customer service, and industry leadership. As the largest global distributor of food and related products, Sysco serves a comprehensive variety of customers including restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, lodging establishments, and other foodservice operators. Recognized not only for its extensive product portfolio but also its innovative logistical capabilities, Sysco plays a crucial role in the food supply chain, ensuring timely delivery of fresh and quality products to its vast customer base. The company is dedicated to supporting its employees with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and ample career development opportunities, fostering an inclusive and growth-oriented work environment.

The role of CDL A Shuttle Delivery Truck Driver at Sysco is an immediate opening ideal for dependable and safety-conscious individuals who can efficiently operate tractor-trailers while transporting doubles and potentially triples between Sysco's main facility and shuttle yards. This position requires collaboration and flexibility, as drivers may need to unload or deliver various products directly to customer locations on assigned routes as required. Designed as a home daily position, drivers can enjoy the stability of working close to their community without extended time away, making it an attractive choice for drivers seeking work-life balance.

As a shuttle delivery driver, one must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and a clean driving record that meets Sysco’s insurability standards. While endorsements for doubles and triples are preferred, Sysco values drivers who prioritize safe and responsible driving habits. The physical demands include handling freight that may weigh up to 100 pounds occasionally, requiring strength and stamina. English language proficiency is essential for communication with the general public and to understand highway signage and traffic signals reliably.

Sysco’s CDL A Shuttle Delivery Truck Drivers are offered excellent pay, paid vacations, holidays, comprehensive healthcare and retirement benefits, employee discounts, and ongoing training programs aimed at supporting career growth. Uniforms and additional benefits further enhance the employee experience, reflecting Sysco’s commitment to valuing and investing in its workforce.
