Job Requirements
- 21 plus years of age
- Pass employment testing
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently
- Hold a valid Class A commercial driver license
- Meet company insurability driving record standards
- Ability to lift and move freight weighing an average of 40 to 60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A commercial driver license
- Clean driving record meeting company insurability standards
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently for communication and signage
- Experience operating tractor-trailers preferred
- Doubles/triples endorsement preferred
- Ability to handle physical demands including lifting freight up to 100 pounds
Job Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer to transport doubles and potentially triples between Sysco facility and shuttle yards
- Unload and deliver various products to customer locations on assigned route schedules as needed
- Safely operate commercial vehicle in compliance with traffic laws and company policies
- Communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
- Maintain accurate records and logs required by regulations
- Perform routine inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance standards
- Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times
