Job Requirements
- 21 plus years of age
- Pass employment testing
- Ability to read and speak English to converse with public and understand highway signs
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver license
- Meet company driving record insurability standards
- Physical ability to lift, push or move freight weighing 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver license
- Driving record that meets company insurability standards
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway traffic signs
- Doubles/Triples endorsement preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving freight weights up to 100 pounds
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Job Duties
- Operate a tractor-trailer to safely transport doubles and potentially triples between Sysco facilities and shuttle yards
- Unload and deliver various foodservice products to customer locations as assigned
- Maintain adherence to all safety regulations and company policies while driving
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and other required documentation
- Participate in ongoing training and comply with all regulatory requirements
