Job Requirements

21 plus years of age
Pass employment testing
Ability to read and speak English to converse with public and understand highway signs
Valid Class A Commercial Driver license
Meet company driving record insurability standards
Physical ability to lift, push or move freight weighing 40-60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds

Job Qualifications

Valid Class A Commercial Driver license
Driving record that meets company insurability standards
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway traffic signs
Doubles/Triples endorsement preferred
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving freight weights up to 100 pounds
Excellent customer service and communication skills

Job Duties

Operate a tractor-trailer to safely transport doubles and potentially triples between Sysco facilities and shuttle yards
Unload and deliver various foodservice products to customer locations as assigned
Maintain adherence to all safety regulations and company policies while driving
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues
Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and other required documentation
Participate in ongoing training and comply with all regulatory requirements
