Sysco is currently seeking dependable CDL A Shuttle Delivery Truck Drivers to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods between Sysco facilities and shuttle yards, with occasional deliveries directly to customer locations. Shuttle Delivery Drivers will be responsible for operating tractor-trailer rigs, potentially hauling doubles and triples, to facilitate the continuous flow of inventory within the Sysco network. Drivers in this position play a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety standards throughout the delivery process. The employment type is full-time, offering excellent pay and comprehensive benefits, ensuring drivers are well-supported both on and off the road.

The CDL A Shuttle Delivery Truck Driver role requires someone who is physically capable of handling freight weighing up to 100 pounds, has an excellent driving record, and can communicate effectively in English. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License. While a Doubles/Triples endorsement is preferred, it is not mandatory. Job Requirements

  • ability to read and speak English
  • valid Class A commercial driver license
  • driving record meeting company standards
  • physical ability to lift, push, or move freight weighing 40 to 60 pounds on average and up to 100 pounds occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver license
  • driving record that meets company insurability standards
  • ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, converse with the public, and complete reports
  • experience operating tractor-trailers, especially doubles and triples preferred
  • physical ability to handle freight weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • good communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport doubles and potentially triples between Sysco facility and shuttle yards
  • unload and deliver various products to customer locations as needed on assigned routes
  • adhere to all federal and state transportation regulations and company safety policies
  • conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles
  • communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and issues
  • maintain accurate records of delivery activities and vehicle inspections
  • assist with loading and securing freight to ensure safe transportation
