The role of Shuttle Driver at Performance Foodservice is crucial for the smooth operation of their logistics and foodservice delivery system. This position pays $30.00 per hour plus a $2.00 night shift differential, totaling $32.00 per hour, with a schedule from Sunday through Thursday nights, dispatching at 6 pm until the shift is finished. The job requires a valid CDL A with a doubles endorsement and involves transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile and shuttle yard locations within both intrastate and interstate routes. This role demands adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods.

As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for comprehensive safety inspections and ensuring that tractor-trailers and trailers meet all safety standards. Your duties will include reporting any safety or repair issues, following all DOT and company driving policies, performing hook/unhook procedures safely, securing loads properly, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and areas. Critical to this role is also communicating professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, thereby upholding Professional Foodservice's reputation for excellence and safety.

This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the physical ability to handle freight cases ranging from 60 to 90 pounds using equipment such as a two-wheeler and lift gate. Additional requirements include passing a pre-employment drug test, a road test, and possessing or obtaining a valid DOT Health Card.
