Performance Foodservice is dedicated to helping independent restaurant owners and other clients thrive in a competitive market by providing tailored solutions and expert support.

This particular opportunity is for a Shuttle Driver role within Performance Foodservice. The position demands meticulous attention to safety through pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly, and ensuring all freight is properly loaded, secured, and delivered according to schedule. In addition to driving responsibilities, the Shuttle Driver is expected to perform essential tasks such as hook and unhook procedures, parking and securing equipment, collecting damaged goods and customer returns, unloading materials as needed, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the vehicle and loading dock areas.

Performance Foodservice offers competitive compensation for this role, paying $31.20 per hour with weekly payments. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package from the first day of employment, including health and wellness benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401(k) employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and more. This supportive and inclusive work environment promotes growth opportunities and recognizes employees’ contributions through a culture of respect, rewards, and recognition.

Candidates interested in this role must possess a valid CDL Class A license with a Doubles Endorsement and have at least 12 months of commercial driving experience. The company places a strong emphasis on safety, professionalism, and compliance with regulatory requirements. To ensure this, applicants will undergo a post-offer drug test, criminal background check, and road test. A clean motor vehicle record for the past three years is also required. Additionally, candidates must be physically capable of handling freight of varying weights, from approximately 10 to 90 pounds, and comfortable using equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates.

Performance Foodservice is committed to equal employment opportunities and maintains a diverse and welcoming workplace that complies with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
