This enduring presence reflects McLane’s commitment to excellence, adaptability, and innovation in logistics and supply chain solutions. The company emphasizes the use of cutting-edge technology, continuous team member development, and a strong people-centered culture to maintain its competitive edge and meet the evolving needs of clients. McLane prioritizes safety, reliability, and professionalism, values that define its culture and operational philosophy. This ensures that drivers and other team members not only contribute to but thrive within a supportive and forward-thinking work environment.
The Shuttle Driver role at McLane is a critical position responsible for the efficient movement of trailers between the Distribution Center and the Domicile. This involves the delivery of fully loaded trailers as well as returning empty trailers, ensuring smooth operations and timely logistics support for McLane’s supply chain. Shuttle Drivers play an essential role in maintaining product safety, conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and complying with DOT regulations regarding driver logs and safety standards. This position is structured as a full-time, first-shift role offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits from the first day of employment. Drivers can expect medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave accrual, and participation in a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days.
Beyond the core duties, Shuttle Drivers not only demonstrate and uphold McLane’s safety-first culture but also contribute to the company’s reputation for reliable and trusted logistics service. The company fosters a supportive workplace environment where safety, reliability, adaptability, and dedication are prized attributes that lead to long-lasting careers. Candidates who join McLane can anticipate a clear pathway for career growth, supported by ongoing training and access to additional benefits such as pet insurance, maternity/paternity leave, employee assistance programs, tuition reimbursement, and various employee discount programs. McLane’s commitment to equal opportunity employment and adherence to all legal and safety standards ensures an inclusive and fair workplace for all team members. Overall, becoming a Shuttle Driver at McLane means joining a company that values its employees, provides stability in a competitive industry, and supports its workforce with comprehensive resources and benefits.
