The Shuttle Driver at Performance Foodservice plays a crucial role in the company's food supply chain operations. This position is responsible for transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering fully loaded trailers to designated domicile or shuttle yard locations. The role demands operation of tandem trailers, tractor trailers, or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes, adhering strictly to Department of Transportation regulations to maintain safety and delivery accuracy.

Furthermore, the role involves completion of accurate daily records of hours of service and compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Keeping equipment and trailers clean, managing damaged goods appropriately, and assisting with general housekeeping tasks in the loading dock area are also essential duties. The job operates primarily on nighttime routes, scheduled from Sunday to Thursday with dispatching after 5:30 pm, and requires a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Doubles Endorsement. Performance Foodservice seeks candidates who demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and excellence in delivery operations.
