The role of Driver, Dedicated Backhaul at PFG is a critical and dynamic position within the company’s supply chain operations. This position is responsible for operating tractor-trailers (day cab or sleeper), tandem trailers, or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes to transport logistics loads that include food and non-food products. The driver ensures that products reach their destinations as scheduled and in excellent condition, upholding safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations at all times. This role is not only about delivering products but also about representing PFG’s brand through professional interaction with customers, vendors, and colleagues, fostering strong and lasting business relationships. Drivers are expected to maintain communication with supervisors regarding route schedules, delivery pickups, and any issues that arise, along with performing routine inspections, paperwork tasks, and securing equipment at the end of shifts. The position demands reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage load logistics efficiently. Work hours are Sunday through Thursday evenings, starting at 4:00 p.m., with pay based on experience ranging from $25 to $27 per hour.
