The company operates multiple distribution centers that span across the United States and Canada, delivering a comprehensive range of products, programs, and services tailored to meet the diverse needs of its customers. Core-Mark's dedication to excellence, inclusive culture, and strong commitment to safety ensures it remains at the forefront of the foodservice distribution industry.
We are currently seeking committed, detail-oriented Hourly CDL-A Drivers to join our team. This pivotal role supports America’s food supply chain by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of food and food-related products. The position offers competitive pay starting at $26 per hour plus additional component pay based on job efficiency. Shifts typically begin between 3am and 5am, averaging 12-hour workdays with the advantage of a well-structured four-day workweek, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking a reliable work-life balance. Additional compensation includes overtime pay beyond 40 hours and off-day bonuses. Drivers will appreciate the safety of well-maintained equipment fitted with automatic transmissions and receive company-provided uniforms and safety boots. Uniquely, this role does not involve merchandising, stocking, or cash handling, allowing the driver to focus strictly on delivery and customer service roles.
The Driver, Hourly CDL-A position entails operating tractor trailers or straight trucks for intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight, or drive and drop deliveries. This role emphasizes safety, compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and excellent customer interaction. Successful candidates will perform all necessary pre- and post-trip safety inspections, ensure cargo is properly loaded and secured, complete accurate paperwork, and maintain clear communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Drivers are vital in upholding company standards by promptly reporting any safety issues or hazards and demonstrating professional conduct at all times. Core-Mark strives to foster a safe and inclusive workplace culture that rewards dedication and respect, supporting growth opportunities and career advancement for its employees. Through this delivery role, drivers become the face of Core-Mark, building lasting relationships with customers and contributing significantly to the company’s operational success and reputation within the competitive food distribution market.
