This job opening is for a CDL-A Driver, a crucial role responsible for the safe and timely delivery of food and foodservice products as part of the company’s distribution network. Drivers at Performance Foodservice operate tractors, trailers, and straight trucks on varied routes that may be intrastate, interstate, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight, or drive-and-drop. This position is designed to maintain high safety standards in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations while ensuring that all customer orders are delivered accurately and efficiently. The role offers an average yearly income of $80,000 or more, with opportunities for quarterly safety bonuses. The workweek is five days from Monday through Saturday with no Sundays, but flexibility in days off is required. Some routes may require team driving and overnight layovers. Shift hours typically start in the early morning, between midnight and 5 AM, with approximately 10-hour shifts.
