The role offered is a CDL-A Driver position focused on the safe and efficient delivery of food and food service products. This position is integral to the country’s food supply chain, as delivery drivers ensure that products arrive at customers’ locations on time, in excellent condition, and while upholding company standards. Drivers not only operate trucks but also serve as the face of the company, building strong relationships with vendors and customers alike. The role typically involves a five-day workweek from Monday through Saturday with no Sunday shifts. Drivers may be required to work flexible days off and potentially undertake team routes or overnight routes with layovers. Shift times generally range between 12 AM to 5 AM dispatch, with average shifts lasting about 10 hours.

Beyond driving, the CDL-A Driver is responsible for conducting thorough pre- and post-trip safety inspections, ensuring full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies. Tasks include inspecting vehicles for safety and proper loading, reporting any issues, securing loads, completing accurate shipping documentation, and performing general housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness in trucks and loading areas. Drivers are responsible for unloading products at destinations, checking product conditions, obtaining customer signatures on deliveries, and handling payment collection when necessary.
